    Prop suggestions

I ordered a leopard 4074 2200kv motor for my Miss G and wondering what kind of prop suggestions anyone has, I'm running 6s on a m440 prop Stock motor right now. Also wondering what kind of speed increase I will get with the new motor?

A x642 and a m445 are proving to be good props on these hulls and motor.

I figured it would be alot of RPM's but what would be the weakest link with that setup?

ESC and then motor - might take out the lipo's as well. If you were to use 4S you would probably be ok but I would go 120 on the ESC to be safe.

Hes got a seaking 180 esc...

Should have ordered a 1500 kv motor to stay with the 6s....

Egneg is right, 6s is WAY to much rpm. Your boat is pretty much a time bomb if you continue to run like that, more or less it's WHEN not IF it's gonna fail.

I have that motor and I run a Seaking 180 esc on 4s2p, that motor can pull some serious amps so 2p is a good idea. That motor can swing a nice prop, I've ran mine on m445 in a 33" mono and temps never broke 100F, I would say a x447/3 would be a nice prop. I have a x447 2 blade on my mono now and waiting for the weather to break to try it out.

4s2p is running two 4 cell packs in parallel rather than in series right? also the x447 is that mostly a top end prop or hole shot?

Yes that is correct, I think the x447 2 blade should be a little more top end and the x447 3 blade should be a little faster acceleration and hold the speed better in the turns. Chuck (egneg) is a PROP MASTER and should be able to sharpen & balance you something really nice if you don't know how to do it yourself.

i read in another thread that 32000 rpms was about the max on a single motor boat, what about a twin? can you up the rpms being that the motors don't have as much load on them?

20,000-40,000 rpms is the safe range, around 30,000 is optimal.

Correct. When I finish my twin I should be around 35k on the rpm. You can get by with 35-37 on twin. Some people have touched 40k per motor on twins.
