I'd run a 45mm prop to take advantage of the torque of the castle motor. x645. The stock motor will turn a 642.

Well, I rummaged through my stuff and I must have thought the same thing last fall as I have a new x645 prop laying on the bench. I have not run my new castle motor and esc combo yet, so I forgot what prop I had intended to run. I still have a month or so before the lakes/ponds thaw, but I wanted to get back in the know, as it is getting closer to run time again.

With the 1800 I ran a 42x55 on 4S and a Prather 215(40mm) on 6S. The x645 should do great on 4S but might be to big for 6S, IMO.

Is it still a bare hull? What motor mount are you going to use?

I just replaced my stock motor and esc with the new Castle motor and Seeking 180 amp esc.
I used the stock motor motor.
