    Leopard 3674 2200KV

    leopard 3674 2200kv on 4s 32.560 rpms what are your thoughts on the bj29v3 with a x440/3 prop s&b.
running a x440/3 on stock motor 2000kv and hit 45.1 that's 29.600 rpm and I know 6s will not be a good thing. also have a ul-1 motor 1500kv this will handle the 6s set up right? what's your thoughts, just pond bashing.

The UL-1 motor should be 2030kv unless it is very old. It would work on 5s for sport running... but 6s wouldn't last as long unless you are just cruising around with a couple of WOT passes here and there. See below for my thoughts and some other facts.

    Miss Geico 29v3
Dynamite 3831 motor with x440/3 dasboata prepped prop on 6s= 67mph
Dynamite 3831 motor with ABC 1716 dasboata prepped prop on 6s= 77-78mph

Also take a look at the below thread and pay close attention to post #2 and you will find somemore info on other 3831 setup's in the Geico and BJ29 v3 boats along with their prop of choice including cell count and speeds. Good Luck!

You should be fine on 4S but what esc are you using?. On 6S it will get hot, although I've run mine before on 6S. . not a good thing but I've done it. Extra cooling always a plus. . . one for motor and one for esc and using Leo 180A esc with a X442. . .it got hot but thankfully no magic smoke. . . .not recommended. But you should be fine on 4S.

The UL-1 always used the 2030 Kv motor (which had an actual Kv closer to 1900), but if the
OP wants to run 6S he’d be better off with the ProBoat 1500 Kv motor. Amp draw will be about 35-40% lower at the same speeds he ran on 4S.

That's what I was thinking, I remember that I had one way back in like 2009 or 2010 and it came with the 2030kv in it back then which was a long time ago.

yes I understand about the motors, I just have a 3674 2200 and wondered how it would work on 4s with a x440/3 or an x642 both s&p.
I'll have to take the water sleeve off the ul-1 and check the KV, I was almost sure it was a 1500KV this was one of the first UL-1 at the time, I could be wrong though.

Most Aquacraft motors have the kv stamped on the bottom cover plate, at least all mine do.

Here is a photo of one from 2009 which looks just like one from 2017 the KV (2030) should be on the bottom plate see pictures below. I'm not sure what your motor is.

This is a Proboat motor either 1500 or 1800. You tested it at 1500 so that's whatcha got sir. A Proboat motor out of a UL 1. Someone must have swapped it out on you before you got the boat.

I believe this is the pro boat A3630 1500kv motor that were used in the first pro boat BJ29 or MG29 with a 45A esc. . .then they used a same motor but with 1800kv and 80A esc

The mind may forget but the back remembers everything.

You are right I do remember now. that motor looks familiar also in the older BJ26. . .there were two BJ26, one was a red nitro version and the other was a blue electric version. I had one and I sold it which I regret because I actually liked mine and was one of my very first boat.. .lots of great memories and it's all coming back now.
