Very nice. What strut are you using to get a dual water pickup or are you splitting the line out of the picture? Looks like your COG is going to be right around the forward end of the battery trays. With that much power do you still get much bouncing or do you power through it?Comment

Alan, tks...its a single water pickup, that second line your seeing is the discharge side. But I will be putting in seperate cooling lines for esc, motor and motor mount soon. I really havnt had much time to open this one up and really see what happens with temp levels, cog etc..weather, working 2 jobs, one at VA hospital other at hobbyshop, really has been affecting my play time...Hopefully this weekend I will get to club pond or other lake to truly open it up, try a few diff props...on the BJ29 with the leo 4082 2000KV 6S we have the battery trays a good bit more forward, but the esc wasnt as far fwd as it is in this hull...its tuning time :) which I love doing anyways....I will get some vids soon now that I got the new digicam and PC...if you get time check out my photo gallery .... I took my boat out this afternoon and got some video I thought I'd share. Excuse the shaky video. That's what you get when you ask your wife to record your run while she juggles a 2 year old at the same time.

Looks great, and may I say Mrs. did a wonderful job, so a
to her as well.
Too many boats, not enough time...Comment

Video looks good,
The only thing I see shaky is the boat handling.Comment

Awsome video. I am just getting back into some boating action after a couple year break.
Never haveing had a rtr before i was not sure my recent purchase of a BJ29 was a good move.
But after seeing that video it looks like it has a lot of potential.Comment

@Lenny - you are hilarious. I knew someone was going to point that out :) I know I'm setting myself up here when I tell you this but that lake has a huge alligator who hangs out to the left of the frame so I always slow down so if I hit him, I wont rip the stern off. He hides as soon as I put the boat in. You can see his head in the pic taken before we shot the video. Welcome to boating in Florida.
@Ozzie - The BJ29 has a lot of potential both as a stock boat and options for upgrade add-ons. The guys on this thread are the "Yoda's of RTR" who gave me a lot of pointers to get my BJ29 to where it is. I came from a nitro background and its just so different to FE.
Stick around and enjoy the ride!Comment

Thanks Alan. Going to run fairly much the stock boat on 6s to start with but useing a pb1500kv motor.
Just waiting for motor to turn up.Comment

The boat looks like a small red alligator in the water.
And it looks like it is chasing some fish at high speeds as it bounces along,
With it's mouth opening and closing at the same time.
Did you gps the red alligator yet ?
If so on what S cell was it running on in that video ?Last edited by lenny; 06-19-2013, 06:03 PM.Comment

Great boat Alan. Are you running 5s or 6s in the video? I have an MG with a very similar setup and an X642 for most runs and I have an X646 I've used a couple timesComment

I assume the blackjack came with a metal prop? I have an X642 I've been using since my stock which was a big improvement from my stock. And I have an X646 for speed runs. I tried running my stock prop once with my current setup and with less than half throttle I spun all the blades off my prop and turned it it to a little stumpComment
