First a few questions, then we can help:

    - Did the BJ run okay with NiMH cells?
    - Are the BJ motor and ESC the same as came the factory?
    - How many LiPo cells and how are they wired (4S1P, 6S2P)?
    - What charger did you use to charge the LiPos?
    - What plugs are you using between the LiPos and the ESC?
    - How is the LVC set?

Try solder/resolder the flex shaft. About 3/4" of inch.
The side that slides into the collet.

jlr, there are two threads a few pages back addressing the loose/broken/sucky stock collet nut. I have used both the octura 5mm to 0.150 (short) collet as well a three piece one from Kintec racing (it's a tight fit, but really nice too). There are links to those products as well as helpful comments from the senior members that might help you out! One thing i learned quick was to make sure i didn't get any marine grease on the proximal tip of the flex shaft to help the collet grip. Hope that helps!
