    My Blackjack 26 Build

I recently signed up to OSE but been viewing for months so, I Just thought i would share my blackjack with everyone.

As of right now I am running the stock motor with an Etti 150amp esc.
    Fuller's Hardware.
    2.4ghz Futaba Fasst

I have a couple questions I drilled a new hole to angle my turn fins, how does this compare to completely taking them off. I do not race the boat, its mainly just for playing around.

One more thing, I ran Octura x642 and got 35.6mph with 7 cell nimh, but have any of you guys tried Prather 220.

Also i just got my 7.4 volt lipo's in that ill be running with bullet connectors so hopefully i can pull more speed out of her

sorry about the picture i had to resize in MS paint......

if your looking for speed I would go with a lipo and a 5s and it will scream I was able to modify my stock turn fins to work and it works also if ur esc can take it use 6s and get a ammo 2300. I hit 47.3 stock apart from a grimracer 40-53 and a 5s

I got the hatch from Kintcracing.com

        Today i ran my BJ26 on my 7.4v 25c 5000mah lipos.

My fastest run way 38.5 mph.

Should i be running faster with my setup or is it time step up to a new motor

Im running an Etti 150 amp
I also Angled my turn fins in.
        5.5mm Bullet connectors on everything
        Fullers Hardware
        2s 5000mah 25c lipos
        Octura x642 and Prather 220

My best run was using the Prather 220 prop

Do you have pics of the setup? Like the business end and the battery placement?

Ahh i do not at the moment but i will get some next time i run

I had my batteries about 3 inches from the transom.
I played with Strut angle a bit and was able to pull out that .5mph
Maybe it will just need more fine tuning

Ill try to get pics sometime this coming week

The last time i tweaked it, i had it pretty mush even with the angle of the stuffing tube. This is actually pretty straight with almost no angle at all.

Try adjusting the strut height, not angle, up in 1/8" increments. See if that helps with the speed.

You'd be surprised at the difference a little strut adjustment can do. One of my cats went from high 20's to a low 40's just by playing with the adjustments.

So i got a Feigao 8xl installed on my BJ26. The boat was significantly faster and had a lot more power.

Well i thought id test this power out and made a fast pass by, and long story short this boat doesn't like doing 10 flips at over 40mph

So im thinking about pulling all the wood out of the boat and making new rails out of carbon fiber.
