Just a tip on electric boats... Check your cooling lines with some pressure for leaks. Another thing is tape your hatch so no water gets in. Do this as you would as usual and fill your tub. Let your boat sit right side up in there for 20 minutes and check for water. At that point if you have a leak fix it. If not, then flip the boat and let it set for another 20. If it gets water pick it up and dont flip it until you un-tape the hatch and let the water out. If no water then you have the confidence that your boat is safe on the lake while you are retrieving it. Hope that helps. -
On the electrics side now that they are wet, remove any schrink wrap you can and set in front of a window for a day, then flip everything and let it set another day. Then hook it up. Most of the time things will dry ok. To me the most important thing is the receiver. I let mine dry for a couple days if it gets wet. If its stock esc then it should be ok. Your batterys may have suffered the most.Comment

Boatman is right, tape the boat good!!! I was there few times, I know man. I have done few things Doby told me. If you can, open the top part of servo, dry it. I was even using hair dryer on medium setting to blow water out from corners. Make sure you silicone your batteries and when it flips no worries. I hope your radio receiver was sitting inside the rubber ( baloon ), if not you may need another one. When it comes to motor, blow air inside, pushing water out, let it dry and when your electronics are good to go give your motor a spin again at the lake so it can generate hit, this will get rid of the rest of the water from it that may still be there. Oil your motor berrings. After that you good to go again. BJ's hatch is easy to tape it, I have Formula Fastech, huge challange sealing this one.... Good Luck!!!DJI Drone Advanced Pilot

First off, putting everything in a 'window' is not very helpful - windows aren't magic and even direct sunlight takes too long. By the time the receiver dries out it could be badly corroded. Instead, remove the receiver case and blow dry with a hair dryer - don't get it too hot, just enough to evaporate the water. Do the same for the servo, motor and ESC. I used to put my receiver in a balloon but discoverd that it still got wet in a crash and if I didn't remove the balloon and take the receiver apart like I described above, it would corrode. Today I spray my receivers with CorrosionX and put them where drops or water will not fall on them when I remove the hatch.
Do not try to "seal" your LiPos - no matter what you do if the pack gets submerged water WILL get inside....then it can't get out and corrosion problems are guaranteed. If LiPos get wet cut off the shrink wrap - carefully - and dry the cells and wiring. Then re-shrink - you do have some spare shrink from OSE didn't you?

Thanks Scoota! I didn't say a window was "magic" but your tip is good on the blow dryer thing. Us single MEN don't have them as I have short hair. I have seen many racers seal their lipo's if it works I don't know but it doesn't seem to hurt. I feel most importantly is to try not to get any water inside.Comment

Right on Jay, windows arent magic
If you get your lipos wet, you can put them in front of a dehumidifier and it will remove the moisture. Another thing i like to do is spray the inside of them with contact cleaner to drive out the water before i put them in front of the dehumidifier.
If they get wet in salt water, remove the wrap. I have just sprayed the heck out of them a few times with contact cleaner if they got wet in salt water, and when i have opened them up they have been sweet, but i really would suggest removing the shrink when in salt.
