how do you program the esc for lipos without the programing card?

you can hold full throttle while plugging in the batts, but you may have do this every three of four runs maybe.

how will i know if i have to do it againe. And how do i know if its ready for lipos. if i had the programing card would i still have to set it for lipos that often?

you wont know when you have to do it again. The esc has a strange way of loosing programming. It happens to me and my brother in law every time. It's well worth the $20 the card costs, as it makes setting everything significantly easier.

As a safety measure, I program mine before every outing. Better safe than sorry, and it takes all but 30 seconds at most to do.
