Hey guys,
I cracked my hull open pretty good on the right hand front/tip and the front bow.
My radio went lost signal and the built in failsafe automatically hit the "brakes" but instead it went flat out and the boat hit the side of our pond and jumped out over the top into the road. Heres the pond I'm running in http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3438/...3626795589.jpg It also ripped a hole open in the top of the cockpits so I just cut those out, just have the two pilots!
The problem was I had to reverse the servo on my radio as brake was accelerate, when I reversed it I forgot to reset the failsafe, as it had previously been set for my buggy.
Its like a thin long crack along the point of the sponson and very front of the bow. I was kinda angry with the boat so I just threw it back in the water and carried on til the batteries where flat. The boat didn't let in anywater from the crack but I want to get it fixed. I've had nothing but bad luck so far with this boat, first time out I burnt out a $100 servo from it letting in to much water, 2nd time out and this happens! The only positive I got from today was the boat stayed dry inside.
How easily are these splits repaired? My girlfriends dad has kindly offered to do it for me as he has fibreglassed before, where as I haven't.
