What's the best way to cut flex cable?

What's this teflon stuff? (are you wrapping flex cable with teflon tape?)

I'm just putting my flex cable through the plastic tube....is this wrong?

Use a dremmel and then solder/tin the cut part at least an inch down the shaft.

the teflon is the tube you are refering to. Solder the cable first where you want, THEN use a cutoff wheel on a dremel to cut it.
