Hi Blackjackers...........

I am running the stock servo but although this seems OK what is a good upgrade servo for the BJ 26 ?

i have a few HS81 servos kicking about and thought of swapping out the stock but wondered if there up to the job in hand

throw your anchor in and let me know what your thoughts are

If your talking about the Hitec micro HS 81 servos, I wouldn't use them as they don't have very much torque at all. This Hitec servo only has 36 oz of torque. Whatever your budget is make sure the torque is at least 50 oz. Keep in mind that the faster your boat goes the more torque you will need to turn it without damaging the servo. I'm currently running a Futaba S9452. Is it over kill for this application. YUP, but I like overkill.

i use the 40 dollar airtronics metal gear hi torque servo, and it works awesome.

how much torque does the stock servo have? what hitec would be good upgrade?

Personally I use my bluebird I had kicking around. It's the BMS-630MG. 181oz @ 4.8v, 195oz @ 6.0v. Very overkill, lol.
