I hate my BJ 26.... fast in a straight line with a pair of 3S Lipos but handles for crap. I ALWAYS have to retrieve it since it just about always flips over. Mine back flips as well

Cats typically don't hook as nice as shovels, monos, vee's, etc. etc. Cats can only take (typically) corners at roughly 30 MPH.

That video was with stock motor esc and prop with timing card set to high. All stock outdrive and radio box still in. I like those venom 5000nimh 6cell packs. Now i has no radio box, turn fins, esc and reciever in center of boat, Octura x642 with 4200 or 4600nimh 7cell venoms. had to remove covers when my bj flew through the air last weekend...lol

I find that the turn fins are a crucial part in keeping the boat tight in the corners, and I'm running total stock in this video with Orion 4600 6 cell NI-MH packs.

lol. that's where my brother in law and I run our BJ's as well. We are usually there on the weekend once it warms up enough. Maybe we'll run into each other some time.

Might not have wanted to foam the back end of the blackjack, that is where you will need to mount your batteries for better cg. Check around other threads on this forum. Need to remove stock battery trays and relocate batteries 3" back from stock location with velcro straps. I would recommend foaming in the front end for that is where this boat is very weak.

The front of the boat has been foamed up almost to the lid area and I've changed out my heavy 4600 NI-MH batt's for Trak Power 4900 LIPO. I have also moved the batteries as far back as the foam currently lets me, but if needed I can cut out the foam to allow for CG adjustment.

Where do most people like to have their CG setup? I read that a lot of people like to have it roughly 1/3rd of the way forward, and thats roughly where my CG currently is at.

I will also be running the equipment shown in the pics and YES I will be cleaning up the wires and the rest of the boat in general.

Your not gonna run the batteries like in the picture right, they need to be down flat in the bottom of the sponsons for the lowest cg.

Actually I did run it that way. I had my intellect 4600 mah NI-MH batteries at the bottom of the sponsons and found the boat digging in the corners, to the point where it looked as though it was going to flip. Today I ran the 4900 Trak Power LI-PO's right where they are in the picture and found the boat would corner better. Don't ask me how, I know that the lower the cg is the better it should corner but the boat somehow proved me wrong today. Any insight?

So logic say's I should still get better handling with the batt's on the floor right?
I'll change the batt location first, do a top speed run, then change the prop to the new Octura x642. I'll update the speed increase/decrease of these mods.

Here's a quick vid of the boat at 58 KPH.

My Apache 24 went down like the Titanic (no foam) after the esc failed, my brand new Mini-c's included am radio has a severe case of locking up the servo, and my Blackjack 55 had a massive crack in the hull. My BJ 26BL seems to be the ONLY Proboat that has continuously pleased me so far. The 55 though has an incredible speed behind it and was fun to drive the first time it hit the water.
USE THE BLACKJACK REMOTE WITH THE MINI-C'S CRYSTALS TO RUN THE MINI-C IF ITS REMOTE HAS A PROBLEM. ALSO THROW AN 11.1 VOLT LIPO IN IT, THE ESC WILL HANDLE IT STOCK AND IT MAKES IT A WHOLE NEW BOAT, ADD WATERCOOLING TO ESC AND MOTOR CAUSE THINGS WILL HEAT UP.
