    Pop Quiz! Blackjack flex shaft???

Can anyone tell me what size the BJ26 flex shaft is? I need to order a coupler and (as you can tell) don't have any imperial calipers - man when are you guys gonna join the ROTW and go metric?

Correct me if I am wrong (Any vets that may read this thread) but I believe your answer is: 125 flex shaft with 3/16ths stub shaft flex shaft per the Fuller's site

http://www.drcwebservices.com/ffe/hardware.htm under the offshore hardware advert. Also horizon sells it for under $15...

what is a stub shaft flex shaft? I'm trying the same thing but to go to a 3mm motor. Mine is a bj26 ep and only has one flex with u joint to a 1/8 inch prop shaft. I used my plastic calipers and it looks like .145 but that isn't an option. Thanks for any help as this is holding up my first build. Brian

the origional blackjack flex shaft is .150 same as the super vee 27 but back at the stearable outdrive/ u-joint it goes to a 1/8 subshaft or prop shaft. Which ever you want to call it.
Many people are converting them to a 150 flex shaft with a 3/16 prop shaft because theres a large number of prop selections available for the 3/16 shaft where as the 1/8" shaft is pretty limited on prop size unless you want to run a bushing. Personally I
don't like to use bushings. But to change to a 3/16 prop shaft you will need to replace the strut and add a rudder.
