Hi guys, I have had my BJ for about a month, used it several times but the last time my Lipos exploded!!! You should have seen the fire! It looks like the cost to fix my BJ (toasted ESC, batteries, radio box, repaint, etc) will be more than the cost for one of those new UL-1 hydros. What do you reckon? Fix the BJ or get the UL-1?
NB: Those of you who are running 6Cell lipos on the standard BJ - be very afraid!

..I suspect that if they ran 6S they used enough battery, didn't do it for long, or if they did they used a small prop. The primary cause (other than using 6S) was that your packs were clearly underpowered - they only accept a 55 amp draw while the manufacturer suggested 72 amps minimum - so they overheated, couldn't supply enough power to the ESC, the ESC burned up from the ripple current and shorted the cells......
does this have anything to do with the motor you use also or is it just ESC v's Battery?
