New Guy with a battery question.

Hello all. I got a BJ26 for christmas and I need some advice on what batteries and charger to go with. I think I want to go lipo from the get go. I will get the programer. I was looking at the elite 2s 4800s recommended on another thread. What is a tap? Do you have to discharge lipos? How?

I have a old peak charger that has a 2 amp setting and a 4 amp setting. Will it work for lipos?

    Thanks, Drew

Cell pro charger from FMA or any one of several Hyperion chargers you can't go wrong with either.
    No on the peak charger.
Tap is the small white plug that you use for balancing the cells
Discharge them only for long term storage

Definitely go lipo. The difference in price is worth it.

As many have said before, get the highest C rating and highest capacity you can afford.

Starting with a 2S pack is just fine...
