ok heres a newbee ques what is the best way to get the plastic liner out of the brass tube? this is my first boat just got out of planes and you guys have been alot of help thanks in advance

you could use a lot of things. Like a small screwdriver, an allen key... -
Assuming you are refering to the stock one....
you see the 1/4" or so sticking out on the motor side? If you pull the motor, it comes out of that end very easy, just pull it with your fingers.
If you don't wanna remove the motor, after removing the flex shaft, push that 1/4 into the brass tube. That 1/4" will come out the transom end. The transom end brass tube almost seems pinched or something, so it will be harder to pull it, so you will likely need needle nose pliers to get a grip on it.
Out of curiosity, why are you pulling it out?
