I put the stock motor back in the BJ today to see what kind of speeds it would yeild. Needless to say I was pretty happy. With the M440 prop the boat ran 42.3, with the X642 the boat ran 45.0, and with the x645 it hit 44.2. The 645 has been detoungued just like the 642, but it also has had some diameter cut off of it.

Hey Obrien,
What motor are you running in your bj26 these days. I haven't heard any new news on the things you have done. I'm debating on a ammo 2300 or a feigao 9L with either a pulso 100 amp or a hydra 120 amp ESC with a x640 prop. What do you think?Government Moto:

In another week I should have some time to play with the boat some more. The Miami boat show is this week, and I am trying to finish building two boats right now that both have to be there. Thats why I have been doing much lately.
Anyway, I have just put a feigao 7xl in the bj, so hopefully I can report back on how that runs. I also have a couple more x642 props to play with so, maybe I can get a bit more out of the boat.
I may even have to step it up a bit on the prop since I will have a bit more power to work with.
As far as the motor choice, since I only have experience with the ammo 2300 and can only tell you that it works great in this hull. As stated in another post, the boat has run 52.8 mph with a pair of Neu lipos. Since that day, I have not had much time to work with the boat, but I would say there is probably more speed available with the ammo motor.Last edited by obrien; 02-09-2008, 01:17 AM.Comment
