Cool, I think the Sv will top out at around 50 , the BJ might be able to hit 60...just my thoughtsSamuel Johnson - “An injustice anywhere is an injustice everywhere.” William Cooper "listen to everything, read everything, and believe nothing unless you can prove it in your own research!"Comment

Thanks Dom. I want to get another 642 to tweak because I would hate to mess this one up as well as it works. lol
You may very well be right Prince, its just a matter of time and tweaking. With the way the BJ was running today, as long as there is no wind to help with blowovers, I would say there is room left for more speed. If the boat starts getting too flighty I can just start moving the batteries forward a little at a time.Comment

Hey guys...I've got a few 642s that I had cut down to run on mmy 12 cell rigger years ago, and they were cut very similar to what you've done. The prop I have on the boat now, but haven't run yet is a 1640...somewhat similar to the cut props but with rounded ears. Just wanted to try it out. It was in my prop box, sharpened and balanced already, so it can't hurt. I also have a P747 that I may play with a bit too...somewhat of a cleaver style blade but has part of the trailing edge cut to reduce some transom lift...it may be a bit too much diameter, but if it works well enough I'll cut it down too 45 then 42mm if need be. I'm off tomorow, so if the weather cooperates, I'll try and get a few runs in. I'm like obrien, I wanna push the envelope on 12 nihms...I'm at 48.6mph with an uncut 642 so far, so we'll see what happens.
