    Bec ?

I have a swordfish 120 esc, why can't I use the bec in the esc on 6s, I'm told to run a battery pack or a bec like castles 10 amp for 2-6s.
What could happen if I run the built in bec.

Running the bec at high voltage requires the esc to work extremely adding to additional wear & tear on the esc. Without dis-ableing your bec your are risking your esc to potential failure and reducing it's life. For a very small price you can protect your esc better. I run a rx pack on anything over 4s. Screw the cc bec run the rx pack, JMO...

Whats wrong with the cc bec? I have been running it on 6s for awhile but just killed it by water. I have a battery pack but its heavy and takes up space.

I have one as well don't reallly use it though. The CC bec still takes away power from the system and I have read bad things on that at 6s. The RX pack is the best solution...JMO of course.

Well I do agree with you but I don't run the bj for more the 5 min or so and don't really see any power loss, It's just the weight and space thing, never had a problem on 6s with a x645
prop untill it went air born and water got in through the rear part of the hatch ( hard taping area) but anyway thanks for your input, always intrested in what you ( diesel) has to say, you seem to be very knowledgeable on fe boats, I also read your posts on the UL-1 forum.
          thanks

At the end of the day both options whether the CC bec or the RX pack are better then using the esc's internal bec at that voltage. If the CC is working good for you then rock on with it buddy!!!

            Glad I could help
            Happy boating!!!
