Which Prop should i move on too?

So i took my blackjack out today after putting some upgrades. Ran 45 MPH on the GPS with a motor temp of around 90, esc at 80 and battery's at 90. The biggest prop i have right now Carbon fiber 51mm. Here is my setup

    Fullers Hardware upgrade
Castle Creations Hydro 240 LV ESC
Castle Creation 1512 1800 KV with cooling coil (will upgrade to a water jacket soon)
    two 2s 20c 5000MAH Turnigy Batteries.

With my temps being pretty low I feel like i can still squeeze a lot more speed out of it! I'm thinking a octura X646?

What prop are you currently running? Also, do you still have the turn fins on?

No turn fins on it. I ran the 45mph with the carbon fiber 51. I'll try and get video of it next time I'm out.

I'm running an 1800KV outrunner with the stock running gear and an x642 with the same exact batteries you're running and I'm pushing 43mph. I haven't fiddled around with the strut angle as of yet…but I will next season :)

I think the x642 is the same diameter as the Graupner CF 42mm prop but with more pitch. So you running a CF 51mm prop should be hitting low 50s maybe? What timing are you running?

I didnt make to 50 but I think that's my goal right now. I set the timing to the normal setting on the hydra . Should I change it to a higher setting?

I'm not sure what timing the CC 1512 likes...maybe 15 degrees? I know my outrunner does good on 20+ degrees. But most outrunners like high timing.

You could probably break into the 50s with an adjustment to your strut angle or maybe your COG. Does your BJ26 run loose?

I have no idea what to do for timing? This is my first castle motor i have ever owned. So took her out today and on some fresh charge 4s i got it up to 47MPH. I swap out the batteries to 5s setup and got it up too 54.3 MPH. I might try a 6s run next time i go out there to see if i can break the 60MPH! but with the extra weight i can already feel the difference in the handling. Also my Carbon Fiber 51mm prop is got chip so I do not know how much that affects the performance. Got a couple of videos but can't post those till later tonight. Here are some pictures though.

Nice....but at higher speeds..that CF prop will start to bend and not hold its form as it should. Time to upgrade to a metal prop and that way you won't need to up the cells. And find the instructions manual for your ESC and you'll then be able to adjust the timing on it to run your CC at its fullest potential. Also you need a bigger pond!! LOL

yea i think the next upgrade will be extra caps on the esc, and a metal prop. I'm hoping the prop will push me over 60!
