What is the going weight on most of the black jacks out there after mods and paint? mine weighed in at 4.44 lbs, that's without batts and reinforcing the hull for strength with some glass cloth and resin and paint job.
I'm alittle dissapointed with the speed w/6s but I still need to play with the trim and cog, so far only 45.5 mph.

Im guessing stock motor? What prop? I havent reinforced mine.. but if I get a chance I will weigh it up.

Yes stock motor and x642 prop

try dropping to a 442. Ive got a 32" cat that will run 3mph faster on a 442 than a 642. Lets the motor spool up more I guess

What about a x640, I think it will be my next prop so I;ll have a 640 / 642 / 645, alittle of both ranges.

Im thinking youll have more luck w/ the 640. I think the 645 is going to be a bit much. Keep an eye on the temps. Im curious to see what you end up with.

Picked up the x640 prop along with flex shaft , drive dog flex cable, now to assy it all and have a complete set up like my x642 and x645.
Just pull one assembly out and slide a different one in. I'll keep you posted on the different results when I get the x640 set up.

G-unit, here are numbers. Stock BJ with 642 3.42 lbs and my modified weighs in at a hefty 4.117 with an M445. That carbon fiber made you fat. Just kidding!!!

Yea the fiberglass reinforcement did add weight, 4.44lbs w/o batterys, although I did get rid of the 4 aa battery packso I;ll weigh it again later and see how that helped.

That will lighten it up but is that the remedy or do you need to look at props aswell. Tiqueman suggested a 4 series or 5

I'm in the processes of puting togeather a x640 but I got the wrong size drive dog, i'ts alittle large in diameter so I need to exchange it.
