    SV27 stinger question

Got a question.....the SV27 stinger strut brackets have a wedge shape to them, so when you mount them, they are not 90 degrees to the transom. This is intentional on the SV27, can't remember why. Anyhoo, for my BJ26 dual, I am using these stinger struts. Before I go making myself new 90 degree mount brackets, what if I used the wedge mounts, flipped one of them, and have the stingers both either point slightly inward, or slightly outward. Would that affect anything in a negative manner?

    Just thinking out loud.

They are angled for the SV to counter for prop walk/ torque. No doubt you want them straight 90 off the the transom. Your best be would be to grind off the angle. Its what I did to mine and it worked perfect. No need to make new mounts.. just spen some quality time w/ a file or belt sander. Just go slow and keep it square.

And yes, it will effect its behavior, angled towards or away from eachother. They should be parallel.

sounds good. I'll throw them on the mill and machine em flat. Damn, you filed them, that sucks. I hate filing.
