BJ problems

hello Guys;
I recently come across blackjack BL,bought it because it was cheap.It is not original;it is running a traxxas RX ,a Mystery 100A pentium esc.Futaba TX.When I try to arm it the motor beeps 10 times,stops for 1 min., then starts beeping again,same amount 10.I have checked all the connections and everything looks ok.The rx has no bec so would I have to add batteries for this to work.I am lost as to what the problem might be.
Hopefully someone could shed some light on this.

If their is no bec then you need a battery pack.
Dont know about the rest.

Thankyou for getting back to me.I am assuming that the bec is in the rx,or esc,but I am not quite sure.I tried it with the batteries for the receiver but still the same thing.Looks like I will have to wait for more replys.Thanks for taking the time to assist me. Have a great day

You'll need to use a BEC and you'll also probably need to configure the throttle points for the ESC....

I used to run a Mystery 100A ESC a long time ago...here's the first page of the manual...I can't seem to get the rest of the 3 pages because its a PDF. Send me your email and I'll send you the whole document in PDF

Hello;
Thankyou for the info and the directions for the esc.The first thing I found out is that the batteries that were for the rx were dead,dead,dead.Put new ones in and followed the directions.Guess what......IT WORKED...thankyou for all your assistance and info.I got into rc boats 2 years ago and I am still learning,and because of these forums I have learned alot more.
Keep up the good work.Us newbies get alot out of these forums.
