Lol got bored last night. Decided to take and add another rudder i had laying around. Waiting on a few props before i can go test it. Needed the second water pickup anyhow! Looks better then how i initially had it setup. So yeah the next question is, Do you think it'll turn? Lol

Think It'll Turn?

It will turn much better than stock, but still not like it's on rails. One word of advice, dial your steering end points WAYYYYY down. It takes very little rudder to get her turning.
Here was mine quite some time ago. Now she's sitting in the garage, with the transom cracked in half. Oh ya, look out for stuff just below the water surface, lol.

Thats sucks! Breaking stuff bites. Did you make the aluminum block for the prop strut, or did that come as a set you can buy with the rudders? I bet it does turn alot easier with 2 rudders then it does with one off-set rudder. I will definitely mellow my turns down until i get used to her!I believe it's my god-given right, To destroy everything in my sight. Cause it never gets dull, it never gets old. Rudders are the exact ones you have, just sandblasted and polished up. I made the offset block at work. The whole inside is cleared out for weight savings. The strut is one I picked up on here from a member and machined it at work to where I wanted it.
Yes, breaking stuff does suck, but it opens a new window of opportunity. During the off season I'll be re-inforcing it with CF, and building it into a dual drive.Comment

Dual drive with dual inline rudders maybe? I wonder how that would work out.
Also seen someone mention a small water pump ran off a rx pack out of a swiffer wet jet mop? Ive been looking to get my hands one one for free lol not to keen on spending 20$ on a mop and tearing it apart for a water pump just yet but its coming.
WE NEED SMALL ELECTRIC WATER PUMPS! it sucks having to always worry about the pickups getting enough water with out causing more drag!
Not to mention, If you decide to just stop for a min and not pick the boat out of the water it will have a chance to cool the esc and motor more compared to open hatch in a 100 degree sun!
Or some kind of Ice cube ballast box. A small box filled half way and frozen added to the pickup line to allow water to flow over ice before entering the motor and or ESC adds weight but cools 100% better. Only lasts a few minutes, its not like we run for 30 - 45 mins straight!I believe it's my god-given right, To destroy everything in my sight. Cause it never gets dull, it never gets old. Awesome!!! Now all you need to do is throw on another drive line and prop and make this a dual motor/esc rigGo Brushless or GO HOMEComment

That might be next year or this winter before i attack all of that! Its a good idea tho. I may do a twin with dual rudders and hopefully a mini water pump! Ive yet to see how it runs with the new setup ive got.
Thanks to Diesel i have a Feigao 7xl 2370kv. A Seaking 120amp esc and waiting on a x440 prop to test w/o worries.
With a good amount of power i think it should do pretty well. I know for a fact it'll turn now without wanting to flip! It did good with one rudder, I can only imagine how well 2 turn.
Any one tried a trio? I wonder what 3 motors escs and props would produce?
To much weight i bet!I believe it's my god-given right, To destroy everything in my sight. Cause it never gets dull, it never gets old. The only thing it gets is more bold. The setup you have right now actually moves quite a bit of water through the cooling system. I only ran a line off one of the rudders, and even at low speed there was a good amount of water coming out of the cooling system outlet on the side. I left the other fitting open, shoots up a good size stream of water into the air as you fly by.Comment

I agree! The water pickup works great. Plenty of water. I use fish tank air hose for all my water flow.
Its smaller in diameter but its a lot bigger inside! Moves more water in my opinion just less pressure. It fits the 5mm water inlets perfectly! I like having septate cooling to the esc and to the motor.
That way the heat off the motor or esc cant influence one another during runs. Easier to get a more accurate heat reading. the esc is always cooler then the motor in my case.
The way i have my prop strut setting its causing a little drag in the water and its not mounted directly to the hull but to a bracket and it leave about a half inch gap between the hull and hardware, I get the same spout affect off the back. WOT its about 5 to 6ft tall. Looks like a Jetski going by with a huge ass rooster tail close behind!I believe it's my god-given right, To destroy everything in my sight.
