I just got a blackjack for a good price at least I think so, it was only used a few times. Is there anything I should do to it? I want to leave it mostly stock, just don't want to do much mods. Can you run 2 7 cells with this?

19.2volts shouldnt be bad if thats what your considering using. the stock esc is rated to 21volts. Dont over prop it! Good luck with control!
Brain squash! 7 cell is 8.4 volts correct? then 16.8volts your good to go!I believe it's my god-given right, To destroy everything in my sight. Cause it never gets dull, it never gets old. The only thing it gets is more bold. Drinkin', fightin', going to the game. In our world it's a way to stay sane. If you're asking me. To have it my way, I'd say that's One fine day. ---- The Offspring -
Make sure all the hardware is tight and secure and the shaft is well lubed. For better handling you can angle the turn fins in or move them up a little. The best place to start is reading. Here's a great thread http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...ead.php?t=3044. Remove the battery trays is something else that really needs to be done. The BJ motor can swing a decent prop, but the x642 is a great place to start. If running those 2 7 cell packs you should disconnect the esc's bec (remove the red wire from the esc plug that goes to the rx) just lift the plastic lock tab and pull the wire out. After that you will need to run a rx pack. If you purchased from another member you should re-program the esc to your need i.e making sure the lipo/nimh option is in NIMH so the lvc doesn't try and kick in. Have fun.Comment
