New BJ26 owner...water in hull issues HELP!!

    Hey guys,

Took my new BJ26 out on the water today, ran great...until my esc went but that's a different story...

When she finally drifted ashore...I noticed there was atleast a few tablespoons of water in the hull!! And I think I traced it to the following gaps...

How do I plug the gaps where the flex shaft is floating slightly around in the stuffing tube??

i use marine grease and pack it iin good in those areas.. i have to reapply it every time i take it out though.. the water could also be from turning sharp and water splashing in through the antenna tube opening?

Yeah, I've got Marine Grease out the wazzo in there right now and the antenna tube is epoxied shut cuz I'm running a 2.4ghz.

The inside of the hull is pristine but when I got her ashore, I noticed a black flim splattered in a line right in line with the collet, which caused me to believe water was coming up the stuffing tube. How do you seal this area up? washer? is the flex cable too small for the stuffing tube??

what your seeing is the marine grease starting to spin up the flex cable. Not sure if its normal. Mines been doing it since day one. On the other hand ive never had water come in right there. Ive seen a few people use rubber hose and put a little piece there to help also. Seal the hull completely with tape or silicone what ever you can use thats air tight and easy to get off. i used cheap old silicone and it peeled right off after it was dry. but submerge it completely under water (best bets the bathtub) and see if you see any bubbles at all there is your leak. (i squeezed the hatch some and made it force air out).
