I use balloons and zip ties. Just dont leave it in the balloon for long periods of time some moisture builds up inside over time and corrodes everything. Best bet find where the waters coming in at and seal it the best you can.

I waterproof my own using spray liquid electrical tape. It works and has saved me a few times already. I spray about 3-5 coats, allowing about 15ms between each coat, after the last coat I let dry overnight. You must spray just the board (take out of case) and cover the taps where the esc/servo etc. plug in. I put a small piece of foam over all of them and spray.

I got mine at Harbor Freight. Not sure if HD or Loews has the exact thing, they may have it or a similar def worth a shot. Yup thats all I do, worked yesterday and my boat was filled with water and rx damn near completly submerged. Pushing the limits of course (long story). I also tear my esc's down and spray them as well once again that helped becaused of yesterday wicked crash.

I had a aquastar esc that got a little wet and fried so the next one I got a waterproofed. You should be fine with the BJ esc, just do the rx.

Do you leave the crystal in the reciver when you spray it or do you take it out with the esc wire and servo wire?

Im guessing you take the crystal out and cover the input prongs with tape or like said above a small piece of foam.. i will be doing this in the next couple of days so ill do a nice little write up. but i dont see why you couldnt leave the crystal in cause it shouldnt get ruined with that spray on there.. the only thing i see happenning is that the crystal will be bonded to the RX and will be a pain in the ass to remove.. maybe some one can clear this up?

I use 2.4ghz so no crystals. Do what ever it takes so that NO overspray or drops get into anything or anywhere that the crystal or servo/esc/ex batt plug into. If any spray gets into or onto those area they will need cleaned and all spray from those areas removed because they will not work.

I normally throw all of my 2.4ghz rx's in a small Traxxas Slash waterproof box like this...
