3900kv is way to much to run on 6s power and probably too much for even 4s power if u had a 240amp esc it would maybe work

Okay i mean whats to much? the motor is to much power for the esc or to many rpm on 6s for the hull? Im still kinda lost when it comes to matching motor and esc. Im still learning tho thats a plus

3900kv/16.8 65520 rpm at the prop on 4s power WAAAAYYY to much u want to be around 30,000 for buzzing around, and 40,000+ for high speed power

the setup i was looking at is 1850kv so at 16.8v = 31080 and on 6s power= 41070 Rpm i figure in a 26 inch hull it will be plenty quick on 4s and silly fast on 6s

Okay i see so your saying the motor is to much period, not that the esc isnt enough to hold the motor. I was lost thanks for clearing that up.

now if u were going to run a single 2s battery it would be like 28860 rpm and thats totally acceptable in a single 3s battery it would be about perfect and cheeper since u would only need a single battery pack

Okay i get ya now. For the esc now as long as the total amp draw from the motor dont exceed the continous amp of the esc your safe right? sorry for all the questions

correct but your prop selection will have a big effect on amp draw, but i would say that if u ran single battery either 2s or 3s you would be plenty safe and fairly quick
