    AQ 2030kv and stock esc

i just installed the AQ 2030kv motor on my bj26 and it just burps w the ocasional full throttle blast my batteries are fully charged and everything seems ok any idea`s or is this motor just too much for the stock esc i have the stock ul-1 esc here but like having prpoortional throttle instead of 2 steps of speed, any help would be great
i build race cars, and play w fast boats, i think the boats are less of a headache

Stock BJ esc will not work with that motor, you will burn your speed controller out. Use the ul-1 esc.

I ran ul-1 power in my SV and my H&M mono, both vid links are in my signature. Needless to say both boats had motivation lol.

Good thing you switched esc's over because your bj esc would have went , that motor pulls more amps then that 45amp speedo could handle. Make sure you use lipo's that can provide enough constant amps. More than 60, 80-100 would be best.

what u think a setup like mine should run, ul-1 power x640 prop 2-2s 6000 50c lipos. from how it ran today id think about 45-50, the only issue i have is that if i stab the throttle froma stop it launches the boat about 6 inches in the air then take off liek a rocket. but from a roll it is fine

Cat's will do that. Properly set-up I would imagine mid 40s as a guess. How where the temps? Those ul-1 motors run amazingly cool, so if all temps where ok I would slap a x642 on it and see how she does.

Use the speed calc. it's surprisingly accurate. Nailed my sv27 within 1mph.

lol there is not motor in the ul-1 right now. i got a neu 1512 on the way and a hydra 240 in the mail. my lhs only had the 40mm props in stock and since the owner is a good freind of mine i had him order a nice range of 42mm stuff since boats have been on a huge kick lately and he dont know what to keep in stock

the motor temps were around 100, but heres a odd issue i had i tried a x440 first and it was a total dog no top end and soft at best on the bottom, i swapped to a x642 and boom it was way faster than before w the best grim racer prop i had or the stocker

wow, you got in extra $$$$ to kick my way. I have a laundry list of stuff I need. lol

Your ul-1 should scoot. My ul with a 7xl in it ran best on a x440. The Lifter props like the l40x57 heated things up way to much and the smaller lifters like the L38x63 had no top end. It's shelved now. I been working on a new SV set up using the 7xl motor which ran amazing until the esc lost power weird and been working on my h&m mono which is a fun little boat.

im also curious why since people say that the M props work so well on the BJ26 why more people dont use them. as i understand the m props are a detougned version of the X props.
