Want to run 3 2s in series

Can anyone post a drawing how to wire up 3 2s in series to make 6s, and if you disconnect one 2s pack to run 4s do you need a jumper on the empty connector,
I'm at this time still running deans, have'ent upgraded to plugs yet.

Just solder a third deans in between the two existing plugs, keep the polarity in the same direction as the other two! And yes, you will need a deans with a jumper wire to run 4s to shunt the additional plug. I am planning on doing this but want to wait until I upgrade from the outdrive to a strut so I don't wreck the boat.

Been thinking about doing this as well, Your waiting to upgrade, does this mean that I should not run 3 2s with the stock hardware? Also I understand how to wire the thrid plug, but what do I do for this "jumper" when going back to 2 batteries?

The weight from 3 batts is to much in my opinion. im running 5s on a complete stock boat except for paint. Also running 5s on the same hardware in a 24inch apache. much much lighter boat anyhow. i have had good results with the stock drive on 18.5volt. i say either run 2- 3s batts or do what im doing with the 5s just to be safe on the stock esc. A 2s and a 3s batt in series with a little weight added to the 2s side for balance weight.

You can run the stock hardware, rudder strut ect. but I believe you need to upgrade your esc and bec I;m not sure the stock esc can handle 6s.
on the jumper, connect a wire to the male side of the deans.

You bet, and why don't most hobby shops have anyone knowledgeble in boats,
seems most know all kinds of stuff about planes, cars, helios, like when I went to get some banana plugs and they told me to stick with deans, which I did but did'ent know better at the time, I guess they just don't know that boats pull more amps then all the other rc stuff. oh well I'm just pab, it's slow here at work and I'm boared.

how about my LSH guy told me the same things about the deans. you know how hard it is to solder a 10gage wire to a 1/16th of an inch connector? i did it anyhow. gr But as far as knowledge hes a wise fella. Banditshobbies.com talk to "Brian"

That's funny that you say that. I talked to a guy who runs my local hobby shop in Ca. He did an on-line interview with one of the big cheeses' at traxxas about the new titan mono. He got to hold the boat in his hands and look it over. When I tried to get some info from him at his shop about the new boat, He told me the hull was fiberglass and the motor was made by castle creations and was a 380-sized xl. Turns out the hull was plastic and the motor was a 540xl. Just goes to show you how inexperienced some people can be. I would never trust the advice of any local hobby shop. This forum is the best place I've found for accurate honest information for F.E. boating.
