WOW!*!*!*! Im sold on lipos. Got my packs yesterday. Charged today and ran 5s on stock setup. Completely. WOW. talk about somthing that flies i can only imagine how those guys running 6s and higher keep there boats on the water. Will post a video link in a few hours. I wanna tinker some more and see what i cant make this thing really do. I also have a 24' Pro Boat Apache on 5s as well with the blackjack26 stock motor and esc. Ill try to make a video of it aswell, but im afraid youll see it flip in about the first 2 or 3 mm squeeze of the throttle. I cant wait!*!*!*!*!

My first runs were on 4S lipos with 100A sustained current, 150A burst. Fast enough for me to get into a lot of trouble. I bought the boat used and it came with two 7-cell packs, so I tried them out for giggles a while ago as well. I was shocked at the performance difference, it's a completely different boat on lithium cells. With the nimh's, it is still quick, but it's not "on-the-edge-of-disaster" quick like with lipos. I am adding a third deans in series and am going to try 6S soon. I am still running stock outdrive so it should be interesting.

New problems.

Okay was going to take video today of the blackjack and the apache, BUT the apache wants to prop torque into a barrel roll at the slightest movement of the trigger and the blackjack broke the stuffingbox outta the hull. So now its time to fix and try again. Sorry Im trying to get video i sware. Ill have them fixed today sometime and get some video when its not so hot outside. Maybe with luck itll all work out!

BJ 26SS Hardware installed.

Got my BJ 26 SS nitro hardware today (turn fin, prop strut and flex cable) Got it all installed. Turns great at high speed. not very stable running in its own wake at high speed. going to change my COG. Here is what it looks like so far dont mind all the hex head screws there from the old hardware i didnt feel like doing fiberglass work today or this week rather. Water pickup i dont like to much it dont seem to pick up crap. i got one stock BJ motor to about 180 degrees and it wont run right now it just sputters and not even enough to push the boat. Oh well different one installed a different route of water cooling taken heres the pics. Dont be to harsh!

Stability?

Okay im running a 7.4v and 11.1v 5000mah 20-30c lipos (5s?) on stock BJ26 motor and 45 amp stock esc with BJ26 Nitro prop strut and turn hardware. Love the way it turns now alot better then having the stock strut, But it dont seem to ride as evenly in the water at high speed straights. It chine walks to an extent removed batt trays leaving the batts in the same spot just lower in the hull the usual mods. I have weighed both lipos and made a weight to make up the 2 cell 3 cell difference. boat sits level in the water when its stopped and when running at quarter to half throttle. WOT it wants to prop torque the right side into the water for a second and then it levels out and gets shaky with speed in its own wake. One smooth pass out does excellent, turn to come back all it wants to do is hop,shake and twist. Any ideas? ive tried changing the COG tried changing the prop strut pitch to negative and positive positions. Oh yeah also still running the stock 1.6x2.5 composite prop also. could that be why? ALSO before i forget again. First Stock BJ motor over heated i guess running temp after about 5 to 7 min was over 180 degrees then the motor stopped running right like lack of power completely barely turns over when it does its a bumping like turn.
