    motors for dual drive

Slowly working on building my dual drive BJ. Which motors would be better?

    http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...idProduct=5421

    or..

    http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...idProduct=5146

will be sticking with a 4s setup. running on the 120A turnigy ESC's. I have x442 and x447 props that I will be trying.

Any input? Or is there a better cheap motor from hobbyking I should be looking at?

    cheers.

Neither.....OK here ya go. Get the turnigy 36-56-2600's (about 20$ each) in there on 4s. Should see about 65-70mph with that setup. Forget the 447's all together on this boat way too much prop (trust me I know). Im running 438's right now just under 70mph so far.

awesome. I was actually looking at those motors as well. Ya once I got the 447's and took one look at em, I couldn't believe how big they were. lol. Time to sharpen, balance, polish and sell em.

Anyhoo, thanks for your help. Really appreciate it.

Would 1 of the turnigy motors be a good single motor to use? and if I get one from hobbyking where do I get the watercooling jacket? I cant find any on their website and not sure which size jacket to get. Would like to get one for now, and later on get a second if I decide to go the twin motor setup
            Thanks for the info

Never used one other than a twin setup. The water jackets can be found on here (uses the same ones as the Feigao)

Thanks blackcat. and now if you could answer another question I keep forgetting to ask.... Are you running 4s on each motor? or 4s total for both motors and is this on one ESC? or two?
Im getting tired of looking at my bare hull and am ready to do something

My twin has two speed controls.(the only way possible with brushless) Running on (2) 2s batts in series for a total of 4s to each motor.

They have a certain cool factor but are a PITA sometimes.
