so as you can see, filled in the last step, new stuffing tube and replaced the transom plate. ( not pictured)
still lots of work to do including reinforceing with glass cloth and applying resin on transon then painting not to mention the in hull cooling and in hull turn fins which I will post shots of when done

your idea filling the last step on the sponsons is a good idea , you just need to make sure you have a sharp edge on the sponson so it can bite in when turning . have a look at my pictures i posted , with this sponson mod you will not need turn fins ....

Understood, the edges will be even sharper when I put on a coat of resin and sand everything before painting.

Looking Good, but when Scoota said to have a sharp edge, was that for both inside and outside edge? or just inside edge? or just outside edge?

It will be sharp on both edges inside and out.
