    Stuffing tube size

What size is the stuffing tube on the bj, I'm replacing mine and took it to a LHS and sized it up to some k&S tubing, the only thing is is that the out side dia matches up but the inside dia looks alittle smaller and then the next size tube is to big, I heard that alot of hydro guys don"t run a stuffing tube liner, less drag.
will this work ok on the bj.

Not sure on the stuffing tube but the Teflon tube is .150. You would have less drag without the liner but I'm sure it would be a trade as far as water entering through the tube. Not sure if the trade off would be worth it.

For .150 teflon K&S #131 1/4" Brass Tubing is recommended. Found this on another website

The 1/4 # 131 tubing is deffenitly larger then the stock stuffing tube, I installed the smaller one 7/32 and the flex shaft is centered in the tube real nice, If I must I will install the liner useing the trick of stretching the liner then install it and wait for it to take shape in the tube.
I will be putting heat shrink around the tube to strut to help with the water entering.
before that though I'll try running without the liner and use alot of greese.

See page six, teflon liner trick, last couple of threads even think that the stock tube is metric, very possible.
