    Motor, Prop and esc combination

I have a BJ26 with the nitro hardware installed. I still have the stock motor. I ran it about a year then the esc suddenly got really hot and died. Im looking to get some more speed. What do you guys think of this combo:

    Castle Creations Hydra 120 esc
    Octura x642 Prop
    7.4 lipo batts
    Stock motor

Also has anyone else ever tried a G-Freak esc? They look alot like a Turnigy to me.

Just go to hobbyking and get the turnigy. I put the 180Amp one from hobby king in a hull I got from gfreak. The gfreak guys mark up the motors and speed controls a large amount. The prices include installation in one of their boats, but you do not need that.

I agree. The turnigy 180 has great reviews on here! The stock motor is tough also. I'd get at least a 30c discharge battery (preferably higher if you can) and most importantly stay away from g-freak stuff. As mentioned add a sticker to a part and jack the price waaay up!

If I were to install a Feigao motor, how big could I go without hurting the esc?

On the stock esc I don't think I would go bigger than an "L" size can.

What about with the Castle 120?

I would keep the bj motor and run it on 6s.
