I'M thinking of shortening my rudder length a little bit to where the rudder sits level with the top of the table when the boat is on the stock stand, what do you think?

Less in the water = less drag right?
But you cut some off of your rudder wont that effect the turning some also? seeing as you had what about 1/2 inch to an inch more in the water? Not quite sure myself. Learning In Progress! It may not make a difference since you still have 2 to 3 inches in the water at all times.

you have an old rudder you can try so u don't have to mess up anything good in case of a bad result? I personally wouldn't cut mine if i didn't have something to go back on it just to be safe. When you try it let me know I'm a leader by heart but you might just have a follower. lol
