    First run w/gps

Well I got a garmen e-trex and recorded my first run and hit 36.9 mph.
I really thought I would be closer to 40.
still need to play with strut height and angle also cog.
this time the boat did not bounce from side to side like the last run.
motor and esc were warm but not hot.
running 4s, speed master strut and rudder, no trays no tupperware, lowered esc.
Soon I'm going to strip all the ply out of the boat and repaint it. add some fiberglass cloth to strengthen the transom and what not.
Any info I can get to pull alittle more speed with this setup would be great.

I was also reading some earlier threads and some guys are getting close to 50 on there boats on lipos, how?
They don't really say if they changed there motors or esc, so in my mind its on slihtly modded boats, hardware and such.
what are you gus getting with lipos and the most common mods.
    lipos are 5000mah 40c/50c burst.
could a cold solder joint hold back voltage and what effect does rudder angle have on how the boat rides. wet or dry.
is every body off line, I thought I would get some replies on this thread.

Cold joints will usually just let go because they get hot but it can create problems when pushed with amps. Run it and touch the joint...you should know pretty qucik if it is a bad joint.
