    8 awg on deans

Had to attatch connectors to zippy flightmax batterys, what a pain in the a*s
    8 awg.
Managed to do it but one battery when put on the charger saids no battery connected. whats up with that, I put a meter on the battery and got voltage through the connector. tryed to clean the connector with electrical contact cleaner,
    no go.
I am going to unsolder and resolder with another deans and see if that helps.
I hope I didnot get a bub battery from hobbyking.
Has anyone had this happen to them.
    Charger is a hyperion EOS606I AC/DC.
The charger works fine as I charged two batterys so far.

deans are terrible for not making good connection. bullets are the way to go. Solder joint is probably fine, but the blades in the connector are not touching well enough.

Yea I was going to use bullets but the guy at lhs said I would have awhole lot of connections
with the way the batterys are set up in series, stock wiring, I don't mind the deans it's just that the wire on those batterys are so large, I think I just got the the deans to hot.

Personally I would get as big as I could to adapt to 8GA wire

It is very easy to solder the Deans! Just hold the iron tip between the connector and soaked wire! Even with 40 watt soldering iron it is not a problem:
I did mine before two days. Same zippy flightmax 2s 4500 mah
I start from there, where the engineering thought intend to stop. The sky is just a border between

Having diffucult time tinning the 8 gs wires and have to start all over again, now the wires are getting shorter and shorter, starting to pull may hair out.

You gotta preheat the wire pretty good before you tin it. If you are worried about the heat getting to the batteries, just wrap a cold wet towel around the base of the wire (where it goes into the battery). But again, don't waste your time with deans. The more you put them on and off, you will wear out an area on the blades, and have connection problems in the future. All my old NIMH packs have this problem now. I use 6mm bullets on everything now.
