    prop and sleeves

I have the proboat 26 brushless blackjack cat

What size is the stock shaft? If i get a prop which one should i get if everything is still stock? Am I wasting my time by buying a new prop and not buying the other new outdrive and extras? should i buy controller?

One of my buddys have a proboat brushless V and i just want to make sure i beat his stock one.

I'm going to the lowering of the batterys like propnutt said to. i hate how when the battery falls out of the tray and the boat cocks a lean and starts taking on water. so hopfully that will fix my problem? And i am also going to do that pull pin on and off switch. But aside from that i only have the proboat 4600 batterys. Do lipos make that big a differance and what about the running time?

Thanks for any input on this I'm a new to all this stuff. And it really seems like you guys could be a very big help to me.

    1. Nice looking boat
    2. an x642 prop from octura will work real good just take the sleeve out of the stock plastic prop and install it in the new one.
    3. yes lipos are a whole new world when it comes to speed.
    4. fill in the hole from the antenna and relocate the antenna.
    5. you alresdy removed the batt trays, now remove the tupperware to lower center of gravite {cg}.
when you can replace the stock outdrive with a strut and rudder setup,
there are alot of suggestions on this part, lots of people like the fullers setup,
I am useing the speedmaster setup with offset rudder.
I just got notified that my lipos are being shipped from hobbyking, it only took one month
    6. Shorten and angle your turn fins to the same angle as the hull.
    7. if you don't have the program card yet, get one, you will need it to set your esc up fou lipos.
    8. do you have a charger for lipos yet, whole new topic, just go through the threads in this forum and you will find a wealth of info.
    good luck and welcome .

I have a hyperon ac/dc charger but havent used it yet waiting on lipos, but my research shows this to be a good charger for the features it has and the price [ 140.00 shipped } as for lipos there all kinds and brands.
          and prices.
I am trying zippy flightmax from hobbyking 2s1p 5600mah 40c with 50c burst so the say, these were only 29.95 ea so for the money i'll give them a try and bought 4 of them, problem was they were on b/o for a month or more.
I'm chewing my nails waiting on them so you can count on a post telling ya'll the results.
on the charger again check out maxamps.com.

is there a reason that those batterys are $29 and others are $100-$200

and is that charger you bought a dual charger?

Well the batterys are from hongkong but what i've read and input from others on this site they are just as good as the ones you would buy in the states,
yes lipo batterys are spendy but for the price I paid fore these it's worth a try,
4 batterys for the price of what maybe 1 1/2 here.
My LHS has some on sale now for 99.00 ea, down from 119.00 compaired to 200.00 plus, so they say.
I read some place that alot of the state side batterys come from across the pond anyway and that they just changed the lable and mark up the price, but as I said I am also new to lipos,
The charger can only charge one batt at a time but there is an adaptor I can get to charge two at a time.
This charger can charge both on ac and dc.
did you ckeck out maxamps.com ?.
I'm sure that others will chime about the lipos and chargers.
this topic always gets member of this forum talking
but if theres anything I can help with just ask, remember the only dumb question
              is the one not asked.

Yes pretty easy to install and imo it handles much better,
With the stock steerable outdrive it was to easy to over steer and the boat would hook and spin out and flip quiet easy.
check out the thread handling issues, loads of info there.

Is the hub shorter on the new one? You may have to trim the sleeve to fit the drive dogs.
