    More speed

    Here's my setup.
Bj with stock motor and esc.
    2 turnigy 2s 4000mah 40c lipos,
and an octura x642 sharpened and balanced.

I have an older handheld magellan GPS (a little heavy) that showed max speed to be 27.4 MPH. Am I missing something? It seems to be going faster than that, maybe I need a new GPS? New to this, so any tips are appreciated.

I suspect your GPS is FUBAR'd . That setup on that boat should easily reach the mid to upper 30's

Also check for binding anywhere in your driveline. And make sure you are not running too wet.

Thanks for all the info guys. I'll try removing some weight and loosen it up a little more. It doesn't feel like anything is binding, but I'll double check. Maybe I'll try a different GPS. It sure looks and feels like its going faster than it says. Thanks!
