Hi everyone this is my first post. I just bought a used BJ off of ebay and it came today. Well on the left side it has a 2" crack where the top and bottom come togehter on the seam. Is this fixable or should I try and get my money back. I had plans of painting it already so that isn't a issue.

Its toward the front half and on the inside it has that rib sticking out. How do you fiberglass under that rib?Comment

Can you post a picture of it? It's alot easier to see what you are dealing with then. I like to use a fast setting CA once you get anthing thats sticking out back in. Glue it then tape the halfs from top to bottom but not too tight. Let that set then mix fiberglass resin and paint the inside where the crack was with a cheap paintbrush (may have to make an extension for your brush from wooden rod or brass tube whatever) . Lay your fiberglass on that and work it in to lose the air that might be trapped underneath. Then paint on one more coat over the glass to make sure its completely saturated. Leave the boat laying on that side so excess resin does not wander.....In 10 minutes or less it's setting up and on it's way to hardening. Hope this helps.FE BOATING: Less like a hobby and more like an addiction!Comment
