Try raising that strut bracket on the right side at least even with or above the hull.

Could be creating a dam effect and causing lots of resistance at speed.

I would double check the flex shaft. I've had two of them break loose at the ferrule, which you can fix easily by soldering or JB weld.

In addition, the hydro flex shaft you mentioned (PRB2506)? is 9" long, much longer that the one in my BJ26SS (PRB3764) which is only 7.75" long. Hard to imagine it's not long enough. Granted mine is in the nitro version, but I can't believe the motor in the brushless version is that much further forward. It sure doesn't look like it comparing the interior pics of the two.

Checking the shaft - ferrule connection may save you from a new collet, which isn't exactly cheap at about $30. Good luck!

When I changed my hardware I just got a long flex shaft and cut it to the length I needed,
I followed the tech tips I found some where in this forum and it worked great.
You use some green loc tight to secure the prop shaft to the flex shaft instead of trying to silver soldering it, works just fine, and I'll find out just how good it works when I run 2s1p
5000 mah with 40c w/ 50c burst lipos, but anyway I still have enough flex cable to make even another cable.
best of luck . later G-UNIT
