Prop Options (Carbon fiber vs. cast metal)

I am getting back into RC boating after many years lapsed & like most people excited by the FE technology (with less noise complaints to deal with).

What experience or recommendations can anyone make on use of carbon fiber props vs. the cast metal options. It seems these will be manufactured very consistently & req. less work to get up & running. Also has anyone had some success or comparison with the typical X642 or X42 options.

    Your input is appreciated.

Thanks, great thread. I should have known to check general Q&A but I do have a BJ26.
