    Help @ a stand still

PLEASE FOLLOW THIS IF YOU CAN.
ROLLED BOAT ONCE, DRYED EVERYTHING OUT, RECHARGED BATTERYS CHEEP ONES
3600 NIMH FOR NOW AND THEY GOT REAL HOT, USING TWINPEAKS CHARGER THE ONE RECOMMENED BY PROBOAT. RAN BOAT AGAIN ACOUPLE OF DAYS LATER AND IT CUTS OFF AT 1/2 - 3/4 THROTTLE CAN'T GET ANY SPEED OUT OF IT.
ESC SEEMS TO BE WORKING FINE, GETTING ALL THE RIGHT BEEPS AND TONES
AS FAR AS THE BREAK ON OR OFF AND MOTOR TIMING, MOTOR DOES NOT GET HOT,
ESC DOES NOT GET HOT, REGHARGED BATTS A COUPLE MORE TIMES AND THEY DIDNOT GET HOT EXECPT FOR YESTERDAY,THEY GOT HOT AGAIN. DID'ENT RUN THE BOAT AGAIN YET GOT DARK.
COULD I HAVE KILLED MY BATTERYS ? run them to low without knowing?
i'm at a loss right now HELP.
    THANKS.

G-unit: I had similar issues with throttle cutouts, etc., when using NiMH batteries and the stock motor/esc. Two things: 1) if you don't have the ESC programming card, get it and make sure you have everything set properly, and 2) ditch the NiMH batts and get some lipos (even cheap ones)...i'd be willing to bet that your throttle problems become a thing of the past and you'll see a huge change in performance.

      Thanks for the reply.
You don't think i killed my nimhs?
When i plug them i get proper beeps on my esc,
this should be factory set but you think i lost settings?
Reprograming by instructions on the transmitter i'm getting all the indications i should.
I know i need the programing card as i will be getting lipos whe the $$$$ is right.
      I'm thinking 2x 7.4 25c 4800-5000 ? If i got this right i am a newbe but trying to learn a much as possible.
      Again thanks for lhe reply.

THANKS, SAW A THREAD POSTED ABOUT A year AGO,
SAID ABOUT THE SAME THING ABOUT THE PROGRAMMING CARD.
ALSO TO TURN EVERYTHING ON AND HOLD TRIGGER/STICK AT FULL THROTTLE AND THEN PLUG IN THE BATTS, I TRIED THIS BUT IT DIDNOT WORK, SO I GUESS I'LL HAVE TO GET THE CARD, CALLED MY HOBBY SHOP AND THEY HAVE 4 IN STOCK.
THEY CAN ALSO TEST MY BATTS FOR VOLTS AND AMPS AND TELL ME IF ANYTHING IS WRONG, MAY BE I'LL GET NEW ONES UNDER WARRENTY WISHFUL THINKING.
JUST WANT THIS BOAT TO RUN LIKE WHEN I GOT IT,

Trust us - you don't want it to run like when you got it, you want it to run like it will on lipos. For a few extra bucks, i'd go for the 30C lipos over the 20C.

                Andre,
what i was saying was i just want this boat to run at full throttle,
i understand that it would be a world of differance with lipos, i gota get that program card fast and hope it will fix my problem.

G-unit - I know what you are saying. The throttle is cutting out when you want to go WO. What I am telling you is that your NiMH batteries are likely not handling the current draw (causing the cutoff) and that by switching to lipos you will fix that problem. Getting the programming card alone will NOT stop the cutting out when you open up the throttle. It sounds like you have it programmed correctly. So, I am not just saying you should get lipos for better performance, I actually believe that it will solve your current problem as it did for me.

The nimh were working fine, and i use to get wo throttle but not now.
Lipos are a must, i agree, but why are they not working now? Did i kill them you think?

Maybe brand new they were fine, but not anymore. Either you killed them or they are simply too wimpy now to handle the draw. Time for them to retire to powering a flashlight or something!

Yea i believe the nimh are bad, i'm going to take them back and have them tested and see if they will cover them. And give me a new set, they are under 30 days old.
                        Will let you know.

well i spent 2.5 hr at the lhs brought them my boat, batts, charcer and transmitter.
The batterys 3600nimh venoms did not show a full charge, charge rate @ 4 amps on this twin peaks charger is to fast a charge, batters s**k
gave me new batterys same ones got home tryed charging them till they got warm but boat in the lake, still no wo throttle.
The hobby shop called hobbytown (pro boat) they said batterys s**k
                          many problems with venom,
they said also that there is no way way the esc can slip into the lipo setting, just crappy venom batterys.
And to think thist is just starting to get $$$$$$$.
