Think i have broke my new bj26 help!

Ok so im new to rc and rc boats, i decided on the bj26 and got it into the water yesterday, it was running fine for about 2 mins until i hit something and flipped the boat so i had to wade in and get it. I thought i had toatly wrecked the boat but after getting it home and drying it out it seemed to be working ok so i ran it again later that day and it was fine. I thought i would take it out today and put the hair dryer on it to make sure it was completely dry inside but i have slightly melted the on/off switch on the esc so now the boat switches on and the rudder moves but no throttle and the esc doesnt make a noise, so my question is do you think i have knackered the esc or just the on/off switch?
    Thanks

Try reseatting the connections in the receiver. Make sure all your motor connections are good. Verify that your batteries are fully charged.

Also try switching the two plugs that go into the receiver. Steering in the throttle spot and throttle in steering spot.
The steering should now work with the trigger. If it does, it rules out the receiver problem.

You wont get anything if the becs not working. Cut off the on-off switch and splice the 2 wires together and try

I do the same with pretty well all my RC vehicles. Just one less thing to get in the way and/or break.

Thanks for the replys, it must be the on/off switch because i managed to get it going. only thing now is it doesnt seem as fast and has cut ou. i thing i will cut it off and make a plug in connection on the wires rather than getting a whole new esc. Another quick question, i seem to be getting a bit of water in the hull, is this normal as i crashed the boat after only a couple of mins and think it may be down to that but if i leave the boat in the bath for an hour oir so it doesnt get any water in.

it's picking up the water through the stuffing tube. Pull the flex cable out and make sure you have plenty of grease on it. That should solve your water problem.

Personally, I pull mine out every 3 runs and re-grease it. Probably overkill, but it works.

In addition to the grease, you could put a little piece of silicon tubing over the end of the stuffing tube..

I've got that on mine now that I upgraded everything. With all my stock setup, grease was good enough. One thing I don't like about the silicone tube is that it adds the extra load onto your motor. Even if you grease the snot out of it, it'll still cause friction.

What is that you are using to glue your motor mount to the hull?
                      Thanks

Yep. At the time of that pic it was JB Weld. Now it's JB Weld and 'glassed in. That sucka aint never comin' loose.
As far as the drag, it turns very easily. The trick is to not use a really long length of tubing. If I remember correctly, it's the regular sized tubing for a .150 cable. Also, after it turns a few seconds, the tight grip is gone from the inside of the tube wearing in. Similar to the oil seals on your cars engine.
