Help Please need new esc

I want to order a new ESC tomorrow. but i dont know what is good. i would like to run lipos and nimh batts i need a esc that can handle both. that is easy to program. i seen the x-power 100a esc on this site. is this a good esc for the money. i will only be runing 2-2s 4000mah lipos and 2-6 cell 4500mah nimh. or if anybody else knows of a good one please let me know.

Look in to Castle Creations. I am using LV 240 and HV 180 with USB link. Great ESC's.

I received yesterday my new HYDRA 120 with CC-BEC & the programmer works very well .

I like Castle Creations ESC's but you must be careful not to use yours on 6S EVER! I did this once and puff she went. They say it's ok up to 6S but hey, do not try. Happy boating!

I have buys this ESC for possibly upgrade to 6S LIPO, there has it another person which lived this problem ?

Just make sure to read more about Hydra-120 on 6S here on forums. I would not use Hydra-120 on 6S!!!!

Anyone running a Hydra on 6S (unless its the HV version) is doing so at their own risk, there are numerous threads on this site about the problems experienced when running above 4S.

Witch motor you use with this ESC ?

I want buy a new one but i'm not sure between NeuMotor 1515/1Y or 1515/2D

1515/1Y : 2200kv max 27 volt
1515/2D : 2050kv max 29 volt

how about 5s is that ok or is it pushing the limits. dont know if i will go that way but you never know i didnt think that i would go 4s either. im sure that im going to get the hydra 120 it sounds like a good esc. thanks for the help.

I smoked my stock esc. i'm not really sure on what happened. i was running on nimh batts. and then switch to run with lipos and reprogrammed the esc. boat went about 3 ft and stopped. tryed to turn boat around to come back to shore and smoke started to come out of hatch. not sure what happend i don't know if esc just didn't take the new program for me to run the lipos or not. has anybody had any problems like this. after talking to my lhs they dont think that that should of blew the esc.

i have an Etti 150 amp esc running 6 cell with no problems and its fully waterproof has great feedback some guy had his submerged for a week on the bottom of a pond and it still worked a good buy me thinks
