    Deans connectors.....

I just melted a deans connector on my BL. I was only running 3600 nimh. Whats up with that? Batteries were very hot but the esc and motor were cold.
Everything is stock. I have removed the tuperware and batt. trays. batteries are shifted closer to the transom.

It was a hot day out but the water was cool.

What other connectors can I use that will take the heat?

    Thanks.

Its possible your batteries just could not dish out the power your boat was demanding

The run lasted 6-7 mins. The deans plug on the port side melted. I have been using these batteries since I bought the boat last Aug. I didn't check the volts after.
Any suggestions on different plugs to use?

Sometimes the deans will get hot if they have corrosion on the tabs. This will increase the resistance and in turn will generate heat.

Never had this problem with my boat, connectors peak at around 100F when running 5S with an X642
