    Top 3 Proboat Boats

    Hey All,

As the title reads, list your top 3 Proboat models. (Cat, Mono, Hydro, etc) I only have two at moment and they are very good boats so far. I think you can see where I'm going with this.

    1)Proboat Zelos Twin
    2)Proboat Voracity E
    3)??

    Thanks,

    Keagan

i'd throw in a honourable mention to the Fastech,as that boat seemed to really get the ball rolling for Proboat.

I was looking at the boat but would prefer something a bit newer!

The new impulse 31 and new miss geico/black jack are nice ones too. Judging by the water you run in, you need a bigger boat.

The bigger zelos or rockstar may be a better choice for you taking your water conditions into consideration.

Thanks kfx, I no longer run in rough waters, I found a better spot in the river which is mostly calm with little chop on a windy day.

My bad I guess I should have specified. I think my problem is starting out with the latest. Had I gotten a blackjack or shockwave the answer would of been easy. Upgrade to the newer models. But what do u do when you have Proboat models at the top of the food chain? Lol

I have a new shockwave. I did some mods to it and it goes 64mph on 4s and is a frigging hoot to drive. The speed is completely overkill but 3s is much more manageable. If you want a boat that turns well and has good potential to go fast, the new geico or black jack would be worth looking at.

Here's my shockwave on 3s with a slow prop. There wasn't enough room here to open it up safely.

Here is is propped down on 4s. I think this was around 58-60mph at this point. This is a fun little boat. It's really for my 6 year old but he doesn't get to drive it much. Daddy made it too fast so I had to buy him a self righting recoil 17. Lol

Nice kfx! Maybe a Ms Geico wouldn't be so bad! I wonder if Rafael and team have any plans on a 36" Geico? That would be cool! What's the difference between Geico and Black Jack?

P.S. Quit stealing your kids toys!!!

Nope, no plans for any more cats or Vs right now.

Difference between the 29s is color/trim scheme.

Time for a nice hydro from Proboat! Then hopefully a big V to keep my Zelos 48" company.
My BJ29 is fun but the Zelos 48" in choppy water is by far my favorite although I haven't had it out much yet.

                          My top 3
                          1. Zelos 48
                          2. Zelos 36
                          3. BJ/MG

I'm obviously a cat fan! Lol!

I have my own reasons for these choices that go beyond "what's cool" at the moment. I actually credit the Miss Geico and the Impulse 31 variations for having resurrected Pro Boat and a good chunk of the RTR market, because before we developed those, things were heading south and there was actually talk of dumping the Pro Boat brand. The Stiletto was the first of the new breed of boats that Pro Boat allowed me to help with, and it definitely grabbed people's attention. Worked a little too.

Thankfully, Scott and Rafael came along, took these solid designs, and ran with them, firmly staking Pro Boat's part of the RTR market, and creating the offerings we are all enjoying today!
