I let my friend run the boat in this video. Of course he handed over the TX after that hairy run on the end.

A couple things I noticed with this boat after reading arrover post I believe. The boat does have a slight bounce to it but I only notice this on slower speeds. The boat stabilizes once she gets going! Since this was my first time in "calm" waters, I really got the chance to see what this thing is capable of. I ran the boat with (4) 3S Dynamite packs in series using the adapter Rafael mentioned in his video. I cannot compare the speeds because 1) No GPS at the moment and 2) I use to run in rough waters. The boat does seem to have a bit of lag at first but once it catches up on itself, it rockets off in a hurry! Today was windy, around 15-18mph winds and that may account for the ripples in the river. I have yet to test the range on the boat, so the passes are limited to that particular area. The temps on the packs, ESC, motors and harness were warm but by no means uncomfortable. With spontaneous burst an couple WOT runs, I believe we saw around 10-12 mins of run time moderating throttle like the video shows. I was surprised and was prepared for a "dead in the water" moment but it never came. Got home to charge the packs (I labelled them Voracity & Zelos)

(2) Zelos took around 4000mah

Those were the readouts more or less on the charger when they were all charged up. So I believe I had a bit more time in them but didn't want to run the packs dead. The battery placement for this run was about 2" from the sponson wall with the other 2 placed immediately behind with an 1" or less away from the ESC's. There was no other tuning done to the boat in terms of strut adjustment, prop sharpening and all that jizz. I am still having issue with my right ESC refusing to turn off by button, I am not sure if I can erroneously misconfigure the adapter to series the packs. Any questions, let me know. I hope to go out again weekend if all goes well. I will get better footage next time out as its hard to record and at the same time watch someone else captain your boat for the first time. The drone is a no can do, as this is 1/2 mile away from the airport.

Keagen, I was waiting for some full throttle runs, what happened?

So the boat's bounce comes for one of 2 reasons, possibly both. If the boat is bouncing on 6s, your CG is off. In Arrows case, there was something wrong with the way his struts were mounted at the factory, completely unrelated to the boat's characteristics The other reason is because the boat doesn't like to ride on the very first ride pad, which is the case on voltage less than 6s. Once it uses the lifter strake on the front pad to get up on plane, it wants to ride on the middle and rear pad. If you choose to run at slower speeds or less than 6s, then add some positive angle to lift the nose up.

Bouncing is not typical or to be expected if the boat is set up right. I think you can see this on many of my videos and many other video that have hit YouTube recently that bouncing is not normal. The bouncing issue and how to solve it is actually explained the the manual, but who reads that, right?

As far as your programing question, program one ESC at a time. Don't program them together via transmitter.

Thanks Rafael, thought u left me out in the cold. Lol. Regarding the high speed runs, I chickened out since it was my first time taking it to the river, I had no rescue boat. Just ordered a little inflatable dingy for that purpose. What you see in the videos is the fastest I've took it. In reference to the bouncing, I don't think it's a problem, when I ran in the sea, I had the packs mostly forward as possible. This time I had 2 up front and 2 behind with little room to spare front and back. I just thought it was due to ripples in the water since it was windy out. The boat does stabilize once it gets going which is all I really care about anyway. I guess I really should read that manual more carefully. Lol. I can assure you that I will have better runs sooner than later.

Haha, I get you. Running in open water is bad enough. Running in a river must be terrifying. Smart move though, I'd hate to see your boat float way if it flipped.

Lol that titanic emoji is quite appropriate. I just realize that I did not order the drive dog for my Voracity, so definitely no Z vs V this weekend. Is it a 3/16" drive dog?

Last question, hopefully! Does the 4.7mm matter? On OSE store I can only locate an Octura made drive dog:

I don't like those bullet nuts. They fall off easily. Just warning you. If you use them with a lock nut first then you'll be ok. I've noticed no speed difference with bullet nuts so I stopped running them after losing a prop or two. If your hell bent on it and can't fit a lock nut, at least use blue loctite. Reapply every time you remove it.

I use regular a nut, then a bullet nut just for looks, but like travis said they come off easily without a drop of thread locker
