I hook up all 4 packs, same specs with the new harness and did a small test to make sure I got it hooked up properly. I noticed the Right prop did not kick in until about 1/4 throttle or little before. The left started spinning immediately but the right took a bit more trigger to kick in. Any ideas? Is this normal? I did not notice this when I was only running 2 packs. I will see if I can get a video later or tomorrow to show you guys.

P.S. No changes to this boat in terms of props, strut adjustment or any of that stuff. All factory spec.

When mine did that the esc's weren't calibrated in sync with each other. To check, use the lowest voltage setup you have and pull full throttle for a split second to see if the green light is solidly lit on both escs. If not then you need to just recalibrate throttle.

Thanks kfx, when you say use the lowest voltage setup? By this you mean what? I think I saw how to re-calibrate the throttle in the manual but not sure about the lowest voltage setup? Would that mean going back down to two packs and run the tests? Or should I just re-calibrate throttle on the 4 packs?

      Thanks,

Lowest voltage setup you have, you don't want to hold full throttle on 6s and over rev the motors. So do it on 4s or lower if you can

Batteries shouldn't have anything to do with throttle profile. Sounds like you need to manually calibrate your ESCs.Follow the calibration instructions in the manual. Always turn both ESCs on at the same time.

Ok thanks Rafael, will try that when I get home. Did you get a chance to check out the video I made?

Have a battery question please, I have 2s, 3s, 4s batts ALL have 5.5 bullets on them and I like to sport run, oval, round and round.

I am wondering about the different harnesses and if I want to change the stock connectors to 5.5 bullets just what I'll need.

For instance if I want to run qty-2 of my 2s in series for 4s, can I just solder bullets on the adapter included with the boat?

Or if I want to run qty-2 of my 4s batts, 1 to each esc, then I wouldn't need any adapter at all?

Thanks in advance, my head starts to spin after reading all the posts sometimes.

Trav, glad to see you're back, hope you're feeling better!!!

                    thanks!

I'd just put a pair of your bullets on. By doing that you can do just about any battery configure you want.

That sounds similar to what Rafael mentioned in his video but only with EC5 connectors. Would you have to make your own 5.5 bullet adapter or do they sell those? I'm leaning towards no? Sorry i'm no help.

I end up doing a lot of speed runs which are less stressful than what you described, but so far I just soldered 5.5 bullets on the stock harness. It's been working fine for my type of running. I would suggest that you try it and see how it works for you. Run for a couple min and then bring it in to check the harness/connector temps. If you solder 5.5 bullets onto the ESCs and then build a custom harness with all 5.5 bullets, you could run your packs in many different configurations. Four 2s, Four 3s, Two 2s, Two 3s, Two 4s.

Getting a bit frustrated here. Trying to follow the manual the boat came with to program the ESC. I'm assuming I would select running mode. However I do this:

                          Batteries unplugged
                          ESC obviously off
                          Transmitter on with full throttle.
Plug batteries in and the right ECS comes on, on its own. Does the whole melody for that ESC. I then have to turn on the other ESC using the button. At this point they are both singing a different tune. I can't proceed like that.

Also the right ESC will not turn off by button, only if I unplug the battery.

                          Any ideas?

Is it one ESC at a time only?

Ran the boat anyway. Finally found a spot in the river.
